DLM-10
The Motion Sensor Timer is used in series with a dome light on a cargo body. When wired to an ignition circuit, it will be powered when the ignition is on. When it senses motion in its vicinity, it will turn on the dome light and keep it lit for ten minutes. As long as motion is sensed, the dome light will stay on. The LED will indicate that motion is being sensed and the timing will be continually be reset. Once motion is no longer detected, and ten minutes pass, the dome light will be deactivated. The sensor will continue to monitor for motion.
The sensor unit should be placed so that it has a clear pathway into the cargo body so that a person moving in the vicinity of the sensor, up to about 15 feet, it will activate the light. If there is an object or cargo blocking the view into the cargo area, motion may not be detected. There may be certain temperatures at which the sensor may have difficulty detecting movement, such as when the ambient temperature is equal to the body temperature of the moving body. It would be best to experiment with locations for the sensor to find the ideal position for suitable operation. Temperature extremes may affect operation.
